Idaho’s oldest Land Trust serving the entire state.
Since its beginning in 1972, the Foundation’s goals are to promote the acquisition, preservation, conservation and maintenance of open spaces and related ecosystems. It is organized to cooperate with community groups and governmental units within the state. The Foundation has been fortunate, in building its track record, to acquire most of its holdings by donation rather than purchase. A key element in the process is public and private trust and confidence.
2016 Annual Appeal
Every year the Foundation sends out an Annual Appeal, asking for the support from communities and citizens of this great state of Idaho. We must all work together to preserve and protect open space lands for today and for the future. Your gift of financial support will help us to continue working on your behalf to conserve and protect the state of Idaho.
The Foundation depends on its 15-member board, its part time staff and pro bono legal and environmental services help make it a well-know and respected land trust. Our operating overhead is under 2% administrative cost, one of the lowest in Idaho.
